Hi @Agusto,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I’ll gladly help you reinstall Windows on your HP laptop. The easiest and most reliable method for HP systems is to use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool. This downloads the original HP recovery image for your exact laptop model.
You’ll need:
- A working internet connection,
- Another Windows PC if your laptop is not booting,
- And a USB drive with at least 32 GB of space.
Step 1: Download HP Cloud Recovery Tool
On a working Windows computer: HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support
Step 2: Create the Recovery USB
- Insert the USB drive.
- Open HP Cloud Recovery Tool.
- Enter your HP laptop’s product number if prompted.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to download and create the recovery USB.
The process can take some time, depending on internet speed, because the recovery image is quite large.
Step 3: Boot the HP Laptop From the USB
- Insert the recovery USB into the HP laptop.
- Turn the laptop ON and repeatedly tap the Esc key.
- Press F9 for:
- Boot Device Options
- Select the USB drive.
You should then see the HP recovery environment load on the screen.
Step 4: Reinstall Windows
- Select:
- System Recovery
- Follow the prompts to reinstall Windows.
This process restores the laptop back to its original factory software condition.
Please note:
- The drive may be erased during recovery,
- So, important personal files should be backed up first if possible.
Once recovery completes, the laptop should restart into a fresh Windows setup just like when it was first taken out of the box.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
I'm an HP Employee.
