I have a HP Envy X360 laptop. Model 15m-ed0023dx.
The last 2 times I did a windows 10 home update it updated the BIOS. I don’t want it to do that because if something goes wrong I have a non working computer. Had a problem with my old HP 8560p laptop where the cap & num lock would blink when turned on and took a while before I could get it to boot. Was told by HP support I need to update the BIOS to fix. Took about a month before the BIOS update would complete and fix the problem because during the BIOS update the computer would reboot then got blinking cap & num lock and had to hold power button to turn off.
How can I disable the BIOS from updating when doing a windows update?
Is it the HP support assistant that is causing the windows update to do a BIOS update? Windows 10 update never updated the BIOS before. Thank you.

Hi@scott-1958, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
There is no option to Disable in BIOS update its windows os features.
It needs to download one by one and needs to restart the computer to make sure the Adapter or Charger needs to be connected,
