Receive an error ".....not enough ESP disk space" whle you run a BIOS update.
Here is how to fix it.
1) Download and run the sp*** file of update from your device's drivers/support page.
2) Insert a formatted as FAT32 and blank USB stick.
3) From the window of installer select ".....create a USB stick..........".
4) Shutdown the computer
5) Press and hold the windows key and B key (win+b).
6) While you pressed the keys , press once the ON computer's button.
Thats it ! Update will begin.
Note : if a single press of ON is not worked , try press the ON button for2-3 sec.
At my machine was enough a single press.

As part of the BIOS update, the old bios and the new one are stored in an HP recovery partition. If you get an error there is not enough space then the partition does not exist or it is too small. In this case you need create a bootable USB that has the BIOS update because just running the bios update app will not work.
It is always dangerous to upgrade bios. Unless there is a real need and the HP support assistant requests the upgrade, I would not do it. Look at the BIOS revision history and see if an upgrade is useful. Updates that improve security are needed in a corporate environment but for gaming system they will likely slow down your system.
I personally would not upgrade any gaming BIOS that was only security related unless the PC was used in a corporate, industrial or military organization.
Check your warranty and decided if you want to risk a BIOS upgrade like these users did
https://support.hp.com/us-en/check-warranty
I just looked at your bios history and there has been no change since F20 that would be useful to your gaming system.
That being said, you can use "EaseUS Partition" to increase the size of the partition if you really want to do this

Hey.
1) If BIOS updates are unuseful and dangerous Microsoft (via Windows update) and HP should stop give them.
Since they dont , i think arent dangerous.
2) I update BIOS at all my machines the last 29 years. Never i had a problem.
3) If its true then is good to know that the newer BIOS are more slow.
Based at my experience i would say thats true. I m know at F26A. I will downgrade to F21 ,
(the last BIOS with "improved security AND improved system stability)
to check the BIOS boot time. Right know is 8.3 sec. while i think with the first BIOS was 5.
4) And what i the user has a security problem ? How can knows if the BIOS update that doesnt is related ?
5) HP should fix this issue. The update must could run with or without "an HP recovery partition".
6) I take this update via Windows update and not works. Also its at product's page.
7) While the "HP recovery partition" is very usual to not exist the method of installation must be fixed by HP , or
HP must say the problem and this solution at all products pages.

Hi.
I have an Envy 15-ee0003nl.
The WD SSD died after 2.5 years (the SSD was also slow as hell, but HP said "it is all okay"...), so I had to re-install Windows.
The issue now is that on W11 the performances for my Ryzen 5 are really bad... I've tried an Huawei notebook yesterday (I hat do fix some system problems for a friend) and, while having a slower processor, it was faster...
I've also updated BIOS to the latest version and I also have the latest AMD driver, but still, i get same bad performances for a 4 years old laptop and now Windows will keep switching to laptop mode every reboot...
Do you have any solution? These things are making me crazy...

Hey.
Unfortunately, the issue is multifactorial.
These basics are a good start : 1) , 2)
Also its good to use Sysinternal/Microsoft's Autorun and Process explorer to determine which programs
slow up the PC (check CPU , RAM , disk , internet use per app).
Others for the Envy 15-ee000nl :
1) Check if Windows 10 running faster than 11
2) Upgrade RAM to 16 (check the RAM use before). I got a 11 gen. Intel CPU at my Pavilion.
By running basically just the browser , 47% of my 16GB RAM is in use...........
3) Check the Internet performance and possible issues.
4) If you use a cloud service , try the perfomance without it.
5) Test uninstall third party antivirus.
6) Cleanup the and trim your disk. I use this utility. Dont clean the registry.
I use this utility. Create a Restore Point and a Disk Image backup before.

5) HP should fix this issue. The update must could run with or without "an HP recovery partition".
Doing the Windows reset such as either getting ready to sell the laptop, or just getting clean version of windows or installing Ubuntu can delete the partitions including the HP tools , Recover (if any) and anything else hidden away.
The bios update can run either in windows or just booting a USB so they cover both these possibilities.
