Hi all,

It would be helpful to have some HP software that can tell us if certain drivers need updates or not.

It's very frustrating to go to the website find your model and not know if you should or shouldn't.

You don't need to manually update most drivers. Windows Update handles them automatically.Except for GPU drivers, other drivers rarely receive frequent updates, so you can safely ignore them and let windows handle.

For GPU drivers, check the official Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA website monthly and perform a clean install. The driver installer includes options for clean installation or factory reset, select those. Alternatively, use DDU in Safe Mode first, then install the latest driver from the official GPU manufacturer's site. Windows Update also handles GPU drivers, but it often lags behind and doesn't install the latest versions right away.

Hi, @xavbas

Does your notebook have the HP support assistant software installed?

That is supposed to notify you of any available driver updates.

If your notebook does not have this software installed, you can download it from the link below:

HP Support Assistant | HP® Support

If you let me know what model Wi-Fi adapter your notebook comes with, I will give you the link to the latest Bluetooth driver HP currently has for that model Bluetooth adapter.

Hi Paul,.

Thanks. I just finished chatting with tech support and I downloaded and installeed the BIOS upgrade.

In the meantime, they recommended I do a system reset. Whichj I'm not doing. I'm not nuking Windows hen spend 3 days reinstalling my software. I simply don't have time for that. I hate Ms normalizing that approach.

Thanks again,
