HP Recommended

Hello, My BIOS is all screwed up. I have a 8460w, and for some reason now it has whenever i enter Setup, it asks me for my Windows password. That's fine and all, but i can't change anything in the BIOS, even if my password is correct. I don't want this lock, and i assume it's because of ProtectTools. So i go uninstall it.. and i reboot and suddenly it's back again. What the heck? That's very invasive of this crappy old software. It was a mistake installing it, since i thought it was just part of the drivers, but no, it's some bloatware that keeps coming back.
