How to sign in for new user with Microsoft account

I just bought a laptop with Microsoft office included in package. I am trying to set up account and it is asking me for the email, phone or skype. I tried creating the account and it says a microsoft account already exist.

I am horrible with anything related to computers. Totally at a loss.

Please help!!

Is it yours ? If not, you have to create a different account, you can't use it. Microsoft probably has hundreds million accounts and the one you select is already taken.
