Hi @1Carambola,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.
We understand that your new HP laptop started with Narrator voice instructions, and you are unable to access the Windows taskbar to connect to Wi-Fi during initial setup. We’re here to guide you step by step.
Steps to Access the Taskbar and Connect to Wi-Fi:
- Close the Narrator or Accessibility Feature (if needed):
- Press Ctrl + Windows key + Enter to toggle Narrator off. This should stop the voice guidance.
- Complete the Initial Windows Setup:
- On a brand-new laptop, Windows will guide you through region, keyboard, network, and account setup.
- If you accidentally skipped network setup, you can add Wi-Fi later from the taskbar.
- Access the Taskbar and Network Settings:
- Press Windows key + A to open the Action Center.
- Use the Tab key or arrow keys to navigate to the Wi-Fi/network icon.
- Press Enter to view available networks and connect to your Wi-Fi.
- Use Keyboard Shortcuts if Mouse Is Not Working Yet:
- Windows key → Opens Start Menu. From here, type Settings, then Enter.
- Navigate with arrow keys → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi → Show available networks → Connect.
- Restart Setup (Optional):
- If the setup is confusing or stuck, you can restart the laptop. On reboot, carefully follow the on-screen prompts to select region, language, and Wi-Fi.
Once you connect to Wi-Fi, Windows will complete any updates needed, and the taskbar will display normally.
I hope this helps.
