Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello guys:
I was cleaning my laptop keyboard and when I realized, the laptop was turn on.

So when I randomly pressed some combinations, there was a kind of lock on screen and the windows logo.

After that, my Windows logo key is not longer working.

So I believe that key is blocked to be used, my question is, how do I reverse it?
Thank you!

Hey there! @javiersc, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand the windows logo key on your PC has stopped functioning.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any hardware or software changes on your PC?

Have you tried checking a with an external keyboard?

As you mentioned after pressing some key combinations on your PC the windows logo key is no longer working.

Try few steps recommended below.

In Device Manager, uninstall and reinstall the keyboard software:
In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
Click View and select Show Hidden Devices.
Click the arrow next to Keyboards, right-click the keyboard device name, then select Uninstall to remove the device from Windows.
Continue removing device names in the Keyboards category until all device names have been uninstalled.
Restart the notebook. Right-click Start (), select Shut down or sign out, then select Restart.
Wait for the computer to restart and open Windows.

Also, refer this article from Microsoft to know how to enable windows key on your PC.

Note: Click on the download button in the link to enable windows key. (Follow on-screen instructions)

If the issue still persists, try performing a push button reset on your PC and check if it helps.

Refer this article to know more information about performing a push button reset on your PC.

Note: Performing a push button reset will not delete any personal data on your PC. However, you would lose all the applications you have installed on your PC and you might have to reinstall them.
