HP Active Stylus
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Spectre x360 15t and my Active Stylus will not work. I have read a few articles stating that this is an issue with Windows 10. I spent some time updating the BIOS and the pen still does not work. Is there any driver or update coming out soon for this pen to function like it did with 8.1 on 10??

You should check for driver update or missing driver through hp support assistant or through hp support website( link below). If the same does not work then contact microsoft windows help desk.
The links are
http://www8.hp.com/in/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html#.VrA5t9tuJgU for downloading hp support assistant
http://support.hp.com/us-en for downloading the driver online from hp website

U could also try update windows 10. As recently a new update was available.

I have checked for a driver, and there isn't one for this model.

I have updated windows 10 (as of yesterday). I can try to contact microsoft windows help desk but this seems to be a connectivity issue with the HP product and not having the necessary driver availble.

Is this a common problem on windows 10 pro?

there appears to be a new firmware driver that specifically states that it fixes the pen issue.  Problem is, the executable fails to install - something to do with a folder syntax error.  I'm hoping they fix the fix and my TWO styluses can finally work.

I posted this in my own thread about this issue but since I learned of the firmware here I figured I would post it

I found a way to install that patch and it does in fact fix the issue, you will need the 7-zip archive manager and then you can extract all the files from within the .exe , extract them all to a folder and then run the .bat file that extracts after that a black window pops up and 45 seconds later you have pen input working

fantastic!  that worked, and both my dell and HP stylus pens work.  why can't HP tech support figure this stuff out?!

Same problem here.

Found the software in this link and it solved my problem (no need to pair it):

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp80001-80500/sp80343.exe

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp80001-80500/sp80343.html

Keep in mind that for the buttons to work you need to press them while pressing the screen.

Hope it helps!
