@Dustin30, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

If you've accidentally uninstalled your camera driver on your HP laptop, don't worry, you can reinstall it with the following steps:

Option 1: Use Windows Device Manager

  1. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Imaging Devices or Cameras section.
  3. If your camera is missing:
    • Click Action > Scan for hardware changes. This may automatically reinstall the driver.
  4. If the camera appears with a warning icon:
    • Right-click it and choose Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.

Option 2: Use HP Support Assistant

HP Support Assistant can detect missing drivers and reinstall them:

  1. Download and install HP Support Assistant from here: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
  2. Open the app and go to Updates.
  3. Let it scan your system and install any available camera or imaging device drivers.

Option 3: Download from HP Website

  1. Visit the HP Software & Driver Downloads page: Official HP® Support
  2. Enter your laptop’s model number (e.g., HP Pavilion 15-egxxxx).
  3. Select your operating system (e.g., Windows 11).
  4. Look under Driver - Camera or Driver - Imaging Devices and download the appropriate driver.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
