I am wondering where the software for Media Smart is. I couldn't find it in the drivers and software page because it said that there is no drivers for the laptop that I have. Also can anyone tell me where the drivers for my laptop are as well

Thank you.

MediaSmart software was retired years ago.

For a similar model type (that is not retired)

For Windows 7

Software and drivers for HP Pavilion dv4-2100 Entertainment Notebook PC series

MediaSmart software is listed in section Software-Multimedia (16)

I don't know whether you can install any of these for Windows 10.

You could try downloading and installing in Compatibility mode.

Worse news:

Your Pavilion model is marked as Retired.

There are  no longer any HP Support pages or information provided by HP.

Is your HP Product “vintage?  (Ten years of age or older)

Typically, HP stops supporting consumer products after ten years.  Read the policy and find out if your HP device is on the list.

You are welcome.

I agree that some of the "old" hardware is still worth having around.

HP has to make decisions like this everyday.  There is SO MUCH data for So MANY devices - "just having the data sitting on a server" is a very small part of what it takes to maintain, protect, and make that data available.  So, Poof.  Some of the old stuff is eventually shoved aside.

Hang in there.

Stay Safe.
