HP Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 11

I've had this 2 in 1 for less than a month and it was working fine. I do admit the fans were loud but it wasn't a bother. However, it started to bother me once it made this constant squeaking noise. When it turns off, it sounds like a beat drop. I just turned my HP Command settings to quiet. But, I want to know if this is my cooling fan or external mic and if there's a way to fix this.

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Fan issues with the HP Spectre X360.

When a computer fan spins loudly for a long period of time, there might be an issue with a fan.

Adjust the power settings, clean the fan vents, check for suspicious processes. It is normal for the fans to spin loudly for five to twenty seconds when the computer initially turns on.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try connecting the headphones and check for any noise/sound.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
