We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The issue of your HP Victus 16-s0095ax going to sleep and waking up on its own can be caused by several factors, such as power settings, scheduled tasks, or external device interference. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:

1. Check Power & Sleep Settings

  1. Go to SettingsSystemPower & Battery.
  2. Click Screen and Sleep and check if any timers are set too short.
  3. Expand Additional Power SettingsChange Plan Settings and ensure "Put the computer to sleep" is set appropriately.

2. Disable Wake Timers

  1. Open Control PanelPower Options.
  2. Click on Change plan settingsChange advanced power settings.
  3. Expand SleepAllow wake timers and disable them.

3. Check Event Viewer for Wake Sources

  1. Press Win + X → Click Event Viewer.
  2. Go to Windows LogsSystem.
  3. Look for entries labeled "Wake Source" to see what is waking up your laptop.

You can also try:

🔧 Hard Reset Process

  1. Turn off your laptop completely.
  2. Unplug the power adapter and remove any external devices (USB, external HDD, etc.).
  3. If your laptop has a removable battery (which is rare in newer models), take it out.
  4. Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge residual power.
  5. Reconnect the battery (if removed) and plug the charger back in.
  6. Turn on your laptop and check if the issue is resolved.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
