My laptop is recently turning off automatically at 40% battery remaining I don't know what is going on. Is that a software issue cause it was working fine 1 week before

Firstly you can reduce the number to 10% or 5% to see how you go. Please use the following steps

(a) Right click battery icon and select Power Options,

(b) Click Change Plan settings (for current plan),

(c) Click Change advanced power settings,

(d) Scroll down to the end and expand Battery,

(e) Expand Low battery level and change %

(f) Also for Critical battery level %

(g) Click Apply/Ok

Regards.
