Hi, I was having HP Support Assistant 8. But whenever trying HP Support Assistant 8 updates itself, I am faced with HP assistant failed to install.
I tried download the standalone sp135667 for HP Support Assistant 9. But whenever extracting it, I am being faced with this error "failed to extract cab". Though there were files extracted in sp135667 folder, and when clicking on the 'setup' file, the setup ran doing the following:
removing previous version
completing the installation
But then this error was shown to me:
HP Support Assistant was not installed successfully. An error occurred during the installation: -2
I was faced with "This version of HP Support Assistant appears to be incompatible with your opearting system. You can download a legacy version of HP Support Assistant on our website"
I now downloaded the from legacy version "HPSA only for Workstations 8.8.34.31. So, do you think I can install it or I can reinstall my version of HPSA 8?
If you received an incompatible operating system message during HP Support Assistant installation, please download and install the Legacy version
