Example: Pavilion 15 AB522TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop will just switch off if I charge it overnight or for a long time and never switches back on no matter whatever I try to do and it doesn't charge in this period and after I wait for some 7-8 days it somehow switches back on if I click the power button and behaves normally. This has been happening to me for 3-4 times starting from a year.

When I take it to HP authorised service centre they just told me to replace the motherboard costing me a 24k rupees so I can't afford it. Any other suggestions or solutions are highly welcome and

I NEED HELP!!!!

Hi,

Whenever it happens, try performing a hard reset and see if it helps. Here is how it is done:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01684768

You could also try performing diagnostics on the PC.

Turn off the PC by holding the power button. Turn on PC and continously keep pressing ESC until startup menu appears and then press F2 to enter diagnostics. Try the fast test, or at least the hard drive test.

See if there are any hardware errors.

Is the PC completly updated through Windows and HP drivers?

Hope it helps,

David
