I am trying to temp deactivate my instagram. I can only do it on a computer and not my phone. So I sign into instagram on my Chromebook, go to my account, get to the deactivate screen, put in my password to deactivate instagram  and the next page pops up and say, " This page could not be loaded. If you have cookies disabled in your browser, or you are browsing in Private Mode, please try enabling cookies or turning off Private Mode, and then retrying your action. "

So I am confused because I cannot figure out how to change my private browsing mode. I think my cookies are enabled. It is just making no sense to me and could really use some help.

Help from Instagram: Delete Your Account

Notes:

The instructions do not say you cannot use a Mobile device.

The instructions do say you cannot delete the account from within the app.

What else?

I would guess that your best option is to try and resolve this with Instagram support.

Why?

ChromeOS notwithstanding, this is account issue with the Instagram application and Instagram services - it is not a problem with the operation of your computer.
