I cannot get my HP orbit to generate a code, so I can pair my Samsung Galaxy note 3 and my PC

I cannot get my HP Pavilion Laptop to generate a code for HP Orbit so I can use my Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which has also got HP Orbit installed on it, with it

I have read about how to do it, but it just does not produce a code

So you have installed Orbit on the phone and have it open - with both laptop and phone  connected to same wireless network?

Yes both my Laptop and phone are registered on the same wifi network

1-Do you have the latest Orbit app from Google Playstore installed on phone and open? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hp.orbit&hl=en

 2-Do you have latest  HP Orbit installed on laptop?

Does your Note have required Android version?

Requires Android

Yes it does it has android 5

It was already pre installed on my PC so I presume it is the latest version as I have only had the Pc for about 2 months

Mine is only couple months old also- but hP released a new version of Orbit not long ago to fix some problems.

Hi there Thank you so much for the link you provided, it worked  a treat, I can now send pictures and files to my Hp Laptop and my Glaxy phone almost immediately. its even quicker than downloading them through Bluetooth or a cable. Seamless technology at its best. Just going to do the same thing to my husbands (copycat) computer, we both have the exact same model.
