Hello. When trying to log in to the account through the application hp support assisatnt, it gives an "unknown error". And so it is all the time when trying to log in through the application. ON the site without any problems includes

Update HP Support Assistant:

  • Open the app and check for updates. If you cannot access the settings, download the latest version of HP Support Assistant from the HP Support page.
  • Uninstall the current version from Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program, then reinstall the downloaded version.

Clear Cache and Temporary Files:

  • Navigate to C:\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Local\HP Support Framework and delete the cached data.
  • Restart your system and try logging in again.

Check Your Internet Connection:

  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
  • Disable any VPNs or firewalls temporarily to rule out network interference with the app.

Use an Alternative Login Method:

  • If the app supports it, use a different method like signing in with a different account or through a connected device.

Repair the Installation:

  • Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, find HP Support Assistant and select Repair if the option is available.

Log In Using the Web Browser Integration:

  • Some versions of HP Support Assistant allow integration with the browser. Ensure the app is attempting to authenticate through the correct channels.
