Hi @Rocco1960

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you want to know about the OCR to scan, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

. Here's where you might find OCR on your system:

1. OCR with HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e (via Software)

Your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e likely comes with HP's HP Smart software or HP Scan and Capture, which can help you utilize OCR for scanned documents. This software may include basic OCR capabilities to scan text and make it editable.

  • HP Smart: The HP Smart app for Windows allows you to scan documents, and while it may not offer full OCR on its own, it has features for scanning and saving documents as PDFs, which can then be opened in other software that supports OCR.
  • HP Scan Software: This software might have built-in OCR features if you use the Scan to PDF or Scan to Editable Text option. Check if your HP printer drivers have this function by downloading and installing the latest HP drivers and utilities from the HP Support page.
  • Please click here and downloasd full feature drivers for your printer.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
