Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Seems like your HP laptop is a little shy when it comes to auto-capitalization, but I’m here to help!

To enable auto-capitalization on your HP 14-inch Laptop PC 14-ep1000, follow these steps:

  • Check Windows Typing Settings:

    • Go to SettingsTime & LanguageTyping.
    • Under the Typing section, ensure "Autocorrect misspelled words" and "Capitalize first letter of each sentence" are both turned on.
  • Enable Auto-Capitalization in Gmail (Web Version):

    • Open Gmail, click on the gear icon in the top-right corner, and select See All Settings.
    • Under the General tab, make sure "Auto-correct spelling" is enabled. While Gmail doesn't have a direct auto-capitalization option, turning on autocorrect could help.
  • Browser or Keyboard Issues:

    • If the issue is isolated to Gmail or a particular browser, try using a different one (such as Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox) and check if the feature works there.
    • Ensure that your keyboard settings are not restricting this feature.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
