Hello HP community:

Recently, I have been experiencing issues finding the PCI driver for my old HP laptop G6-2264CA

with serial number [Personal Information Removed]

I have searched on the HP support page, and I only find drivers that are compatible with Windows 8. However, I need to update the driver to make it work properly on my current operating system windows 10 64-bit.

I have followed the steps to find the hardware identifier of the PCI device I need to update, and the identifier that appears in the properties window is "PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5229&SUBSYS_1849103C&REV_01".

Could you please help me find the specific PCI driver for my laptop model?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Best regards,

Dayron Simón  as D

Hi:

You need this driver for the PCI Device:

Realtek USB and PCIe Media Card Reader Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp84501-85000/sp84713.exe

One of the unknown devices probably needs this driver:

HP 3D DriveGuard software

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64144.exe

After you install the drivers, please post the hardware ID for the remaining unknown device.

I have one last doubt. What would be the right video driver for this model with Windows 10.

Because I'm opening a game like dota that doesn't ask for much graphic for example, and it's running so slow.

Hi:

W10 should have installed a default driver for the AMD graphics adapter your notebook comes with (should be the AMD Radeon HD 7520G).

You can try the AMD beta driver directly from the AMD website and see if that works better than the driver W10 installed.

It's the second one listed under the W10 64 bit driver section:  Radeon Software Crimson Edition Beta
