I think I might have updated the bios wrong and now the support update does not have my mobo id

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-15-ac100-notebook-pc-series/model/9111881?sku=P3X73UA&serial... I think way back while trying to learn about my system (or Windows did it, it was def several years back, lol), I found a bios that was allegedly compatible with my system.  My mobo model is 80C5 is shows everywhere. On the support site the only one available is the Insyde F.29 Rev A.  I currently have the F.32 installed which I recently read was for an AMD processor while mine is Intel. It has seemed kind of buggy for a while.  As the system sees a new one and the F.29 does not have the 80C5, does not seem to want to take it. The file in sp96831, unzipped, shows 80C1, 80C6, 80CD and 8135.  I've also tried to restore with a hard reset and with the boot key press, no dice. I do remember that the key press did bring up the bios recovery at one time but does not anymore. I was about to just reformat and use the key to reinstall the original image but thought Id ask here first.  Last time I used the key, it took several hours as opposed to the MCT image from MS.  I would appreciate any feedback or ideas on how to correct this.  I will hold off a few days to see i any one does.  Thank you in advanced.

From looking at that F.29 listing i conclude that

ROM SSID's

c1..c4  all use the c1 file

c5 and c6 use the c6 file

cd uses the cd

135 uses the 135

I looked at the f.29 bios that is the last one available at the HP site and it has the same BIOS SSIDs

That sp96831.exe file is mentioned at several sites, Win-Raid and bios-mods in particular, as easy to modify for removing the HP WiFi whitelist.  If you downloaded it directly from HP and it was installed then it should be good.  If you obtained it from Win-Raid, bios-mods, mydigitalife or any non-HP site then you should revert back to F.29
