I want to know the generation about the laptop with this product ID: 00325-80000-00000-AAOEM! I was checking for the how many generations it got and I can't get that?!

@Gebriel_11,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Great question -and I see where the confusion comes from!

The Product ID you mentioned — 00325-80000-00000-AAOEM — is a Windows license identifier (aka the Windows Product ID), which unfortunately doesn't tell me much about the hardware itself, including the processor generation or laptop model.

What to do instead:

To determine what generation your laptop’s processor is, we need either:

  • The exact model number (e.g., HP 15-dy2024nr or HP Laptop 14-ep0792wm),
    OR

  • The processor name, which you can find by:

    1. Pressing: Windows + R

    2. Typing: dxdiag and hitting Enter

    3. Looking under the System tab next to “Processor”

How to decode Intel processor generations:

If it says something like:

  • Intel Core i5-1235U → it’s a 12th Gen CPU

  • Intel Core i7-8565U8th Gen

  • Intel Core i3-10110U10th Gen, and so on

Just look at the first digit or two after the hyphen in the processor name.

Once you have that processor info or laptop model, feel free to reply with it here -I’ll gladly help you pin down the generation and specs!

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
