In my device manager, I have two I2C HID Devices. The one that pertains to my mouse / moving my mouse using the touchpad has a Code 10 error.
I've tried installing a new driver for it, but my OS is not supported through HP (Windows 10 Home Version 21H2).
I don't know if I'm installing it incorrectly or the driver simply doesn't work. The HP installer wouldn't work for me, so I had to do it manually. My mouse will work for a split second after restarting and then eventually freeze, and when I use my touch-screen, the mouse disappears and the touchpad doesn't work.
The trick with disabling and then enabling the driver doesn't work. At this point, I'm contemplating doing a hard reset, but it'll be a pain to do.
I've been dealing with this issue since April/May 2022, could it have been caused by one of the software updates around that time?

The Code 10 error is one of several Device Manager error codes. It's generated when Device Manager can't start the hardware device, a situation usually caused by outdated or corrupted drivers. A device may also receive a Code 10 error if a driver generates an error that Device Manager doesn't understand
