I have this really old laptop (probably around 25yrs old, judging by the windows 2000/xp branding on it...). It says that it's an HP Omnibook xe4500. I really want to make it work properly (the performance is very poor, the diskette drive won't cooperate, etc.); not for everyday use, of course, purely for running legacy games & programs. However, I cannot find this machine on HP's website. At all.
I tried:
- Finding the drivers on the official website; this is not an option as this model is not listed there, even typing in its serial number does not work.
- Using the Internet Archive and the Wayback Machine; only managed to find a user manual, which does not really help me.
- Searching for auctions on various website. There is nothing in my country (I am currently in Poland) that would help me.
Any help would be appreciated, as I'm quite lost and have no idea how to get this machine to work properly.

Hi:
HP retired support for the model series which is why you can't find any drivers for it on the HP support site.
This reputable 3rd party driver site has the drivers you need for that model notebook:
