Hi @snehal_

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for flagging this—when the camera driver is missing on your HP Victus laptop, it can prevent apps like Zoom, Teams, or even the Camera app from detecting the webcam.

Let’s get it reinstalled and working again.

Step-by-Step Guide to Reinstall Your HP Victus Camera Driver

1. Use Windows Update.

Windows often detects missing drivers and reinstalls them automatically.

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update
  • Click Check for updates
  • If a camera driver is found, install it and restart your laptop

2. Scan for Hardware Changes via Device Manager

This forces Windows to re-detect the camera.

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager
  • Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras
  • If the camera is missing:
    • Click Action > Scan for hardware changes
  • If the camera appears with a warning icon:
    • Right-click > Update driver > Search automatically for drivers

3. Download from HP’s Official Driver Page

You can manually install the correct camera driver.

  • Visit the HP Drivers and Software page
  • Enter your laptop’s full model number (e.g., HP Victus 15-fa0000)
  • Select your operating system (Windows 11)
  • Look for a driver labeled Camera, Webcam, or HP Wide Vision 720p
  • Download and install it
  • Restart your laptop

4. Use HP Support Assistant

This tool auto-detects missing drivers and installs them.

  • Download HP Support Assistant if not already installed
  • Open it and go to Updates > Check for updates and messages
  • Install any camera-related updates

If none of these steps restore the camera, let me know your exact model (e.g., HP Victus 15-fa0000 or 16-s0000) and I’ll help you locate the precise driver.

You're on the right track—and we’ll get your webcam back online.
