@Chris1354, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Installing Norton 360 on Your New HP Laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If Norton 360 was supposed to be bundled with your new HP laptop but isn't pre-installed, you can install it by following these steps:

Check for Norton Product Key or Activation Code: Sometimes, the activation code for Norton 360 is provided on a card or a sticker on or inside the box. Check all the documentation and packaging that came with your laptop for this information.

Search Email for Digital Delivery: Retailers sometimes send the product key or instructions via email. Check your email inbox, including spam and junk folders, for any messages from the retailer or Norton.

Visit Norton's Website:

  • Go to the official Norton website (norton.com/setup).
  • You may need to create or log in to your Norton account.
  • Enter or input your product key.
  • Follow the instructions to download and install Norton 360 on your laptop.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

There is nothing at all in box or any of the packaging with any product key or instructions. If I create a Norton account I do not have the required product key to input into it.   It seems I have paid for but not been provided with the means to actually use the Norton software.

@Chris1354, thanks for the follow-up! I completely understand how frustrating it feels to see “Norton 360 included” and then not have anything ready to go—it’s like expecting a gift and finding an empty box. 😅

Here’s what we can do to get you up and running:

Check HP’s Digital Software Portal: Many HP laptops include a digital entitlement for Norton 360. On your laptop, open the HP Support Assistant app (usually pre-installed) → look for “My Digital Offers” or “Software & Offers”. Often, the Norton download and activation info lives there.

Confirm with Retailer: Since Argos sold the laptop with Norton 360, they should provide the product key or digital entitlement. Reach out to their support and explain that nothing came in the box—you’ve paid for the bundle but don’t have the activation details.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
