Hello
just bought a new HP Elitebook and try to make first installation without using an MS account.
I read a lot on the net and still I am confussed how to do it.
The laptop comes with Windows 11Home S mode.
My idea is to do first installation & settings without using a MS login but instead using a Local Account.
- for this I shouldn't be connected to Internet from the beginning of starting the setup?
- will I 'll still be able to remove the S mode since I have not used a MS account?
Anyone who can clarify how to do it? What I want is to have a Local Account to login and to remove S mode from Windows 11Home.
Thanks.

Hi, Cristhal:
See this link for how to set up W11 with a local account. Skip to step 18.

You can switch out of S-Mode at any time by reading the info at the link below.
Switching out of S mode in Windows - Microsoft Support
Once you switch out of S-mode you cannot return to S-Mode.

It went bad... I had to use MS account but then I wanted to change it as locala acount and by mistake I miss password etc. settings ( pushed ENTER ) and thus I didn't have a chance to reset .. now is a black box because I can not login.
Any solution ?

Somehow after two hours and several switching off and on and press ESC the laptop open again in the window with setting password to local account so I could login .. and now is working . But very tough experience and a nerves consuming?! thank you Microsft!?
