HP Support Assistiant Action Log reported an update was needed for the Intel HD Graphics Driver. Upon exectucting the update, a message box indicates "A seperate installer has lauched. You may need to perform necessary actions to complete the installation."

Once the Intel installer starts, it gets stuck in a loop and doesn't progress past the first stage (see below). I left my laptop for nearly 2 hours whilst the progress bar/dots continously reached the end before starting over again:

According to Device Manager in Windows, the last driver update for the onboard GPU was 24/10/2016 at version  21.20.16.4542. I attempted to manually install the lastest drivers available on the Intel website but a window appeared warning that I would be installing a genertic Intel HD Graphics Driver which may cause my HP to lose driver functionality.

Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

Edit: I should probably have listed this under Hardware and Upgrade Questions

Great, that worked!

Despite the service pack being exactly the same version, file size, etc. as the one that HP Support Assistant was downloading, the one hosted on the website completed first time.

Thanks for the help!
