HP Recommended

Hello HP Support Team,

I recently purchased an HP ProBook 840 G3 and upgraded it to Windows 11 (Version 22H2 / 25H2). I am experiencing an intermittent keyboard issue.

Sometimes the built-in keyboard works normally.
Other times, it stops responding completely.
Restart temporarily resolves the issue.
In BIOS, the keyboard functions perfectly.
Device Manager shows two keyboard drivers installed: Standard PS/2 Keyboard, Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard for Hotkey Support.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and checking BIOS settings (Action Keys / Launch Hotkeys without pressing Fn is enabled).

Despite this, the keyboard still behaves inconsistently.

I suspect this may be a driver or Windows 11 compatibility issue, as official Hotkey Support drivers for the 840 G3 on Windows 11 seem unavailable or mismatched.

Could you please advise:
1. Is there an official Windows 11-compatible Hotkey / Keyboard driver for HP ProBook 840 G3?
2. Any recommended troubleshooting steps to permanently resolve this intermittent keyboard issue?

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,
Jahanzaib
