HP Spectre x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-eu0000 (7K634AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Are the two thunderbolt ports on the HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 only for output, i.e. connect to a display/monitor through Thunderbolt or can they also be used as input, i.e. connect them to a videograbber with Thunderbolt output port so I can record the videosignals (with the appropriate software) onto the HD connected to or in the HP Spectre?

Hi @bmeijeri,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Your HP Spectre x360 14-eu0000 series laptop features two Thunderbolt™ 4 ports (USB Type-C®) that support:

  • Power delivery (charging)
  • HP Sleep and Charge
  • DisplayPort™ output (video out to monitors)

Unfortunately, Thunderbolt ports on the HP Spectre x360 do not support video input.

This means:

  • You cannot use them as a video capture input (e.g. to receive a video signal from a camera or another computer).
  • You can use them to connect to external displays, docks, or other Thunderbolt/USB-C peripherals — but not to record or ingest video signals.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
