I bought my computer brand new and have had it since 2021. Up until about 3 days ago, the backlighting on the keyboard worked just fine. Little light would come on when you hit the power button, light would be on showing that the camera was off and if you hit the caps lock button, the little light would come on. Now I have nothing. No light to show that the computer is powering on, no light showing caps lock is on and nothing works when I hit F4 which is they keyboard light button. Has anyone else ran into this and how do I fix it?
I have checked all the drivers and they are all up to date, but now I'm wondering if there are too many keyboard drivers and that's the problem? They keyboard it's self if functioning just fine, it's just the lights that don't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try these steps:
Check Keyboard Backlight Settings:

Reset BIOS to Default Settings:
- Restart your computer.
- Press Esc repeatedly to access the Startup Menu.
- Press F10 to enter BIOS settings.
- Use arrow keys to navigate to the "Configuration" tab.
- Choose "Restore Default Settings" or "Default" and follow the on-screen instructions.
Update or Reinstall Keyboard Driver:
- Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
- Find "Keyboards" and expand.
- Right-click on your keyboard device and select "Update driver".
- Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software".
- If this doesn't solve the problem, consider uninstalling the driver and then restarting your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
Run HP Support Assistant:
- Download and install HP Support Assistant from the HP Support website.
- Open HP Support Assistant and run "Check for Updates and Messages" to ensure all drivers and firmware are up to date.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Shut down the laptop.
- Disconnect all peripheral devices, including power.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect power and peripheral devices, then power on the laptop.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure you have the latest Windows updates installed (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates).
