Pavilion DV7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an older HP Pavilion DV7that came with windows 7. I want to completely reinstall with windows 10 but I need the drivers for all the hardware contained in this system. Does anyone know where i can find those drivers.

Hi:

Depending on the model dv7 you have they only supported Vista, Windows 7 and the dv7-7000 and newer supported Windows 8/8.1.

There are no W10 drivers for any dv7 notebook.

W10 should install most of the drivers your notebook needs automatically and for any that it doesn't install, you use the latest driver from the support page for your specific model notebook.

Thanks Paul, yes Window 10 should do that but any that it doesn't my support page only gives me windows 7 and 8 options. Can I use these?

You're very welcome.

Yes, you should be able to use the W8 drivers.

Those would be the closest ones to W10.

If you need any help finding a driver, please let me know.
