Thanks for the reply, Asmita!

I am using the original charger which comes with the laptop itself.

I've tried Windows update and the HP support Assistant but both had no impact on the cpu speed.

And does hard resetting and BIOS Default erase any data from the lapptop? I don't want my data to be erased!

@Zakii

Thanks for replying. No, the hard reset and BIOS defaults will not delete anything from your PC.

Keep me posted.

Sorry for the late reply,

Well I tried both (hard reset and BIOS Defaults) and they both once again didn't change anything.

I researched about this problem and came to see this thing called Intel Turbo Boost and my i7 was compatible with it so would that fix the problem?

Thanks and regards.
