HP Elite Dragonfly 13.5 inch G3 Notebook PC (4J039AV)

Hi,

A few days ago I installed a Windows update on my laptop. I didn't use it again until today.

It booted normally with no issues, and everything worked fine for about 2 minutes. Then I noticed I could no longer click any apps on the taskbar. After some testing, I realised the problem is with the left-click on both the touchpad and my external mouse.

Here's what's happening:

  • The right-click works normally.

  • The scroll wheel/touchpad scrolling works.

  • Left-click becomes completely unresponsive.

  • I can't click the Start menu, taskbar icons, close windows, or interact with most applications.

  • Restarting the laptop temporarily fixes it, but after about 2 minutes the problem returns every time.

I've already tried:

  • Restarting multiple times.

  • Disconnecting all USB drives and external SSDs.

  • Testing with both the touchpad and an external mouse (same issue on both).

Has anyone experienced this after a Windows update or know what might be causing it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I need the laptop for work.

Thank you.
