I have forgotten my password to open my laptop.

 

What tools or method can I use to recover password

Hi,


Other than doing factory reset or clean install of Windows 10, no other suggestions could be given to bypass password protected user profile in a public support forum I suppose.

If you need help in that, please ask

Many thankls for your prompt reply.

 

I am actually trying to assist a friend that has forgotten her password.

 

I have tried downloading some of the so-called free programs that purportedly do the task but once downloaded you are asked to purchase full version to reset password.

 

I have discussed the factory reset / clean install and it appears that this is the only option right now.
