Hi @Sivamkumarok,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

You’re absolutely right, it’s frustrating to lose access to the OEM Office Home & Student 2021 that came with your HP 15s FQ5329TU. Let’s restore it step by step with empathy, clarity, and hope:

1. Sign in with Your Microsoft Account

Pre-installed Office licenses are often tied to the Microsoft account used at initial setup.

  • Open any Office app (Word, Excel), go to File → Account, and click Sign In.
  • Use the account you originally used with the laptop to retrieve the license activation automatically.

2. Use Microsoft’s Support & Recovery Assistant (for Office)

Microsoft offers a troubleshooting tool to detect and fix activation issues:

  1. Download and run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant.
  2. Choose Office, and let it diagnose your activation issue automatically.
  3. Follow the guided fixes to restore your Office license.

3. Check for a Digital License Embedded in BIOS/Firmware

Some HP laptops embed the Office license in firmware; this can be reactivated during installation:

  • If Office doesn’t reactivate after signing in, and the key isn’t returned, contact HP Support. They may have tools to retrieve the embedded license.
  • The license could be linked to your Microsoft account or included in installation records.

4. Reinstall Office from Microsoft’s Official Source

If activation doesn’t resolve:

  1. Visit Microsoft's Office website.
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account.
  3. Navigate to My Account → My Installs/purchases.
  4. If Office 2021 appears, download and install directly; no need for a key.

5. Counterstep: Elevate to HP Support

If none of the above works:

  • Create or log in to your HP Support account, using your laptop’s product details.
  • HP can verify your entitlement and may provide a digital copy or help you associate the license with your Microsoft account

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
