hp laptop 15-bw0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There are a few keys on my computer (HP  laptop 15-bw0xx, product number:1UG65UA#ABL)  that do not work. The concerned keys are ''n'', ''b'', ''7'' (just the one on the keypad) and ''=''. When I repeatedly press on the ''n'' key and the ''b'' key, they start working for a short period of time and the other keys also work during that time.

I tried updating the keyboard software, then I tried uninstalling it and restarting my computer, but that didn't solve the problem. Right now I'm using the on-screen keyboard to type.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

I have gone through your Post and I understand your concerns

Please perform a Keyboard Test to check the Hardware Functionality

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Keyboard

Keep me posted

Thank you and have a great day 😊

Hi,

thanks for taking the time to answer.

The keys that I mentioned would sometimes work during the test, but not always. They would all work at the same time, then all of them would stop working.

@Leganos

If anytime the keys do not respond during the diagnostic test, then the keyboard needs to be replaced
