Hello,
I am hoping that one of the technicians can advise me on how to delete a text which is on the opening screen of my laptop when started.
It is just back from repair and the message: TEST MODE has been left on my screen and I can find no way to delete this.
WINDOWS 8.1
BUILD 9600
Would appreciate any help on how to delete this message from my screen and thanks to the technicians who repaired my laptop for me. You have done a sterling job which is much appreciated.
Apologies if this is in the wrong area, but I was unsure where to post this.

Hello again
Having tried your suggestion I have looked around on the internet and found this command line :
Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF
and would you believe it, it has worked a treat. The message has disappeared from my screen, so thank you so much for your advice.
Best wishes

Hello
if you sent the unit to HP for repair without TEST MODE and you got back the unit in this way, that shouldn't happen !!
One thing you can try is to disable TEST MODE in this way:
open a Command prompt as Administrator
execute this command:
bcdedit /store S:\EFI\Microsoft\boot\BCD -set TESTSIGNING OFF
Reboot you computer.
bye

Hello
Many thanks for your suggestion. I have tried doing what you suggested but it keeps telling me that is an unrecognizable command. I have done it with spaces where I think there should be, different permutations but cannot get it to work.
Thanks for your help though, it is much appreciated. I agree, the message should not have remained on my pc after repair so hopefully one of the moderators will pass my problem to one of the technicians at HP and it can be solved.
