I have recently bought a HP laptop, I was offered a free trail for Microsoft, I continued setting up the laptop without setting up the free trial. I am ready to go ahead with the free trial; how do I do this now the laptop has been set up?

@GDB17, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Congratulations on your new HP laptop! 🎉

If you skipped setting up the Microsoft 365 free trial during the initial setup, no worries, you can still activate it. Here’s how you can do it:

Open Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint:

  • Click on the Start Menu and search for Word (or Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Launch the app, it will prompt you to sign in or activate Office.

Sign in with your Microsoft Account:

Choose the Free Trial Option:

  • When prompted, select the “Try for free” or “Start 1-month free trial” option.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to activate the trial.

Enter Payment Details (Optional):

  • Microsoft may ask for payment details to start the trial. You won’t be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before that.

Complete Activation:

  • Once done, your Microsoft 365 apps will be fully functional for the trial period.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
