@go2 :

The base system device is the JMicron card reader that needs the driver.  That is the reader for SD cards.

The driver you posted absolutely will not work for the above device.

The driver you posted is for the Alcor smart card reader (which reads the credit card size smart cards).

I've got the exact same problem. Did a fresh Win 10 install and somehow this device keeps escaping my efforts to get installed 😞

I included all drivers above and I don't know which driver setup I'm missing 😕

Nobody? 😕 How's it possible that I installed all drivers for my hardware and still have this #$(*%&$ device as unknown?? 😞

Please? 🙂

I got it solved. It's a 'bug' with the HP website. If you select Windows 10 the driver page will NOT show http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5284308&swItemId=ob_124666_1&swEnvOid=406... (JMicron PCIe SD Host Controller). Download x64 file here: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63637.exe

If you change the OS to Windows 7 x64 on the HP driver download page you will get 4 storage drivers to download (instead of 3 with Windows 10 selected).

I hope it helps others and HP... Please FIX 🙂
