Multiple Copies of Microsoft Word at Start Up

Whenever I start up my HP Envy, several copies of Microsoft Word open. How do I fix this?

It would do this if you had open several documents in MS Word and simply turned off the PC, instead of first, closing out each of the documents and THEN properly shutting down the PC.

Try closing out each document, then closing down the PC -- and see if this continues.
