HP Chromebook - 14a-na0031wm

My HP Chromebook is running really slow and it is driving me nuts.  Is it possible that the memory is getting full?  If it is can I add more memory?  I know that I have Windows 10 but I am not sure which one.  HELP!!!

Performance speed for routine stuff, not high-power gaming, is almost never affected by lack of system memory.

I have old 4GB Win10 computers that run every bit as fast as newer Win11 PC with 4 times a much system memory.

The most common cause for really S.L.O.W operation is a failing internal drive -- especially if the computer ran just fine when it was new and is only now slowing down.

Adding memory in this situation is only wasting your money -- as the computer is starting to fail.

So does that mean that I am going to have to buy a new laptop?

The problem you're going to run into is that, after you have replaced the drive, you will have to reinstall the OS -- and I'm not aware of anywhere you can get an OS for the Chromebook to use for this.  So basically, you need to consider replacing the laptop -- and if it were me, I would not get another Chromebook because they all suffer from the same limitations.
