If your HP EliteBook 360 has lost its network adapter, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
-
Restart Your Laptop:
- A simple restart can sometimes resolve hardware detection issues.
-
Check Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager by searching for it in the Start menu.
- Expand the Network adapters section to see if your network adapter is listed.
- If it's there, but with a yellow exclamation mark, there might be a driver issue.
-
Update or Reinstall Network Drivers:
- Right-click on your network adapter in Device Manager and select Update driver.
- Opt to search automatically for updated driver software.
- If updating does not help, consider uninstalling the driver and then restart your laptop to let Windows reinstall it.
-
Use the Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Internet Connections and run the troubleshooter for potential fixes.
-
Check BIOS Settings:
- Restart your HP laptop and press F10 to enter BIOS settings.
- Navigate to the Advanced tab and look for Built-In Device Options.
- Ensure that the network adapter is enabled.
-
Check for Windows Updates:
- Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date as this can include important driver updates.
-
Restore Network Settings:
- You can also perform a network reset in Settings under Network & Internet > Status > Network reset.
