Hi @phatphawin

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like you're experiencing performance issues with your Victus 15 laptop and you're trying to maximize its gaming capabilities. Here are a few things you can check to improve performance:

Enable the Performance Mode in OMEN Gaming Hub

Update OMEN Gaming Hub: Ensure that you are using the latest version of the OMEN Gaming Hub software. You can check for updates within the app or download the latest version from HP's support website.

Install or Reinstall: If the Performance Control feature is not appearing, try uninstalling and reinstalling the OMEN Gaming Hub to ensure all features are installed correctly.

Windows and NVIDIA Settings

Power Settings: Make sure your power plan is set to high performance. You can find this by going to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options.

NVIDIA Control Panel: Open the NVIDIA Control Panel and navigate to Manage 3D settings. Ensure that the preferred graphics processor is set to your NVIDIA GPU. Also, adjust the power management mode to "Prefer maximum performance."

Windows Game Mode: Verify that Windows Game Mode is enabled; this can be found in Settings > Gaming > Game Mode.

Additional Tips

  • Close Background Apps: Make sure unnecessary programs and processes are closed when gaming.
  • Update Drivers: Ensure that all drivers, especially graphics drivers, are up to date.
  • Thermal Management: Ensure your laptop is properly ventilated and not overheating, as thermal throttling can decrease performance.
  • Check for Other Issues: Sometimes performance can be hindered by other factors like malware or a need for system maintenance.

Thanks for getting back to us. I appreciate all your efforts and patience!!

Thanks for asking! 😊 The HP Victus 15 fa2714tx doesn’t always include a dedicated Performance Mode in the OMEN Gaming Hub like some higher-end OMEN models do. T

hat said, you can still optimize performance using a few built-in options:

⚙️ Ways to Boost Performance on Your Victus 15 fa2714tx

Windows Power Settings

  • Go to Settings → System → Power & Battery → Additional Power Settings.
  • Select High Performance or Best Performance under power plans.
  • If you don’t see it, click “Show additional plans” in Control Panel.

NVIDIA Control Panel Tweaks

  • Open NVIDIA Control Panel → Manage 3D Settings.
  • Set Power Management Mode to Prefer Maximum Performance.

HP Performance Controls

  • Some Victus models include a basic version of HP Performance Controls.
  • Search for it in the Start Menu—if available, it may offer modes like Balanced or Turbo.

BIOS Settings

  • Restart and press F10 or ESC to enter BIOS.
  • Look for any thermal or power management settings that can be adjusted.

While it may not have the full-blown Performance Mode toggle, you can still squeeze out solid performance with a few tweaks. 💪😄
