Hi everyone,
I am using a hp laptop and I downloaded OBS studio a long time ago but now when i deleted it my camera (in-built) was not working basically it was not detected like when i even got into the device manager the name of the inbuilt camera was faded and there was no option to enable it , so I deleted it in hope it will install again as I restart but it's not
So can anyone help me to give the download like for the HP truevision HD camera driver?

Hi @Jitesh19

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining everything so clearly—sounds like OBS may have interfered with your HP TrueVision HD camera driver, and uninstalling it didn’t restore the camera automatically.

Let’s get that driver back in place so your webcam works again. 🎥

Update Camera Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager.
  • Click on the 'View' menu and select 'Show hidden devices'.
  • Look for any entries under 'Imaging devices'.
  • If you see your camera listed, right-click on it and select 'Update driver'.
  • Choose 'Search automatically for updated driver software'.

Reinstall Camera Drivers:

  • If the camera driver appears to be missing, visit the HP support website and download the latest camera driver for your laptop model.
  • Once downloaded, install the driver and restart your computer.

Check Windows Privacy Settings:

  • Go to 'Settings' > 'Privacy' > 'Camera'.
  • Ensure that camera access is enabled.
  • Confirm that apps can access the camera, especially the ones you intend to use with it.

System Restore:

  • If the above methods do not work, consider using System Restore to roll back your system to a point when the camera was working.
  • Type 'Create a restore point' in the Windows search bar and select it.
  • Click on 'System Restore' and follow the prompts.

Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your Windows 11 is fully up to date as updates may include needed drivers or patches.
