My hp support assistant doesn't work anymore.
Is it caused by my hp warranty is now expired or should it still work?
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall but it won't uninstall.
So i have this program with no support and can't delete it either UH?

Hi,
It can be a real problem removing HPSA if it's corrupted, but here's an alternative method you may want to try.
Unless you still have the installer, download the latest version of HP Support Assistant from the page on the link below - the download links are towards the bottom of the page - and save the installer to your Downloads folder.
http://h18021.www1.hp.com/helpandsupport/hp-support-assistant.html
Next, if you don't have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip. Please note, if you have a 64bit installation, download and install the .msi 64-bit x64 installer on the link below.
Next, right click the HPSA installer you download earlier, select 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok. Open the newly extracted folder, right click on UninstallHPSA and select 'Run as Administrator' - you may well see no progress of this attempted uninstallation, so leave the notebook to idle for a good 10 minutes before restarting it.
Open your Downloads folder and delete the ‘extracted HPSA folder’ so you are just left with the original installer you downloaded.
Now, run the Microsoft 'Fixit' on the link below and use it to install the new version of HPSA.

Hi,
This has nothing to do with your warranty expiring and the application should still work.
Try the following
First of all, see if you can uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant by using the Microsoft 'Fixit' on the following link - this is particularly useful in correcting issues that may prevent reinstallation on machines running a 64bit OS.
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
When this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant from the page on the link below - the download links are towards the bottom of the page.
http://h18021.www1.hp.com/helpandsupport/hp-support-assistant.html
After the installation, restart the notebook again.

Does anyone know why HPSA quits working? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version twice now. The latest version came on my notebook I bought 12/24/12. This work-around does work but does not solve the problem.
