Having the same problem with mine, I just recently noticed that the bezel is cracked and now one of the bottom corners of my screen is cracked. After looking at all of these forums you think HP would fix the problem so they won't lost customers. I know the next laptop that I but will not be an HP if this problem isn't resolved.

Can you help me too?  My laptop is falling apart at the top left hinge as well.  This is clearly a defect as numerous people are having the same issue.

I contacted HP several different times, got three different quotes on prices and timelines to fix it, and finally got to someone who could help me. She told me that my laptop was too old and was no longer services by HP so there was nothing they could do but give me a discount on a new laptop. It's safe to say I'll never be buying an HO again.

I also bought the envy touhscreen laptop and in the first month I had it the left hinge broke. I taped it but that didn't work the hinge was so stiff it just kept ripping through the tape. Then the right hinge broke after another month or so.   I found that there was a recall in 2008-2009 for a few short months. I bought my laptop in 2015 so why are you still making laptops with these hinges? Now my CD drawer fell apart which is prompting this post. The top is popping off and the monitor blacks out when I move it because of the looseness. This was a $1600 laptop. It has been falling apart from day one. I have read countless posts from people that are saying HP wil not do anything about it. I also see there is a class action lawsuit so I signed up for it. My laptop is completely taped together. Even the ethternet cable won't stay plugged in. I have had to tape that in since day one. There is a hinged little door on the ethernet port that makes it so it will not stay in. I don't get it.  I do major graphics and I have massive amounts of programs in this computer and I do not look forward to having to reinstall all these programs in a new computer.  A computer I can't afford. I feel HP needs to replace these laptops free of charge. This is ridiculous. Thousands of posts by unhappy customers yet HP denies there is an issue and act like they've never heard of this happening. LOLOL I have to laugh. Do you think we can't read all the other posts? What are you going to do about this?  I mean it is literally in pieces and the only thing holding it together is duct tape. I can't even use my CD player. This is unacceptible. You HP owe your devoted customers a fix for this. You are dismissing people that paid you large amounts of money for your products and you choose to say screw you.
