I cannot revert to windows 7 to fix the problem, help!

Hi:

 

Not all 6460b's came with bluetooth.

 

If you are sure your notebook came with bluetooth (you can check to see if the device is listed in the BIOS settings), then you can turn the BT on as follows...

 

Make a bootable Ubuntu installer...

 

Download Ubuntu

 

https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop

 

Here is a tutorial on how to make the file bootable.

Boot from the installer, and select the option to 'Try Ubuntu without installing.'

 

Turn on the Bluetooth in Ubuntu.

 

Shut down the PC, remove the installer, boot up the PC and when you are back into Windows, the Bluetooth device should be present and working in the device manager.
